Don't Be Misled By The Hype!
In 2005 several changes were made to the federal bankruptcy laws and there has been much overreaction due to misleading information about these changes.
The most significant change was the addition of a "means test." Many have come to believe that this new addition precludes them from filing
for chapter 7 bankruptcy. This, however, is untrue. In most situations, only those with the highest incomes are ineligible to file under chapter 7.
THE FIRM
Our office has been involved with bankruptcy and state court matters on behalf of debtors, creditors and trustees since October, 1985.
These matters have included representing corporate, partnership and individual debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 proceedings, corporate and individual
debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 proceedings, and individual debtors in chapter 13 cases. At this time we have successfully concluded in
excess of one thousand bankruptcy cases. We have represented parties in all aspects of a bankruptcy case, including filing petitions,
completing requirements of the Office of the United States Trustee, filing a wide variety of motions required by debtors and creditors, conducting
adversary proceedings, objecting to claims and preparing and filing disclosure statements and plans of re-organization, obtaining confirmation and
working out settlements with creditors.
